Education

When family and friends told me that education is key to success I believed them but I just did not take education seriously. I often find myself looking in the past and asking why I could not have the mindset I have now back then. I regret not taking education serious because it finally caught up to me. I knew that I was going to pay for it sooner or later, just didn’t know when. Education just wasn’t important to me.

I believe that education is important. Education is what we need to get far in life. In today’s world if you do not have a certain level of education most jobs will not hire you. I feel that without education the world would not be a good place. A lot of things would be unknown.

When you are focused on learning you eventually start to like it and want to know more and more. It makes you ask questions. Questions that the government does not want you to ask. It makes you eager to go to school the next day. Most people wait until it’s too late wishing they had done something about it.

When I was in middle school I really did not care whether I failed a class or not. In fact, when it was to graduate from the 8th to the 9th grade I did not walk the stage. I still did not care. I continued to mess up. I didn’t realize what I was getting myself into.

In 9th grade I knew that it was time to take education seriously. I could not find a way to focus on school. I did not do any homework, instead id go out with friends knowing I had homework to do. It wasn’t long before I started skipping class. My mom was getting calls from the school every other day.

When I entered my junior year for some reason all of those things people were telling me about education started to get o my head. I realized how important school was. Realizing what education could do for me, I paid attention in class. I knew that if I didn’t clean my act up it was soon going to be too late. I refused to be one of those people who wish they took action when it was too late. Surprisingly, I did my homework, studied for tests every time was told, and the most important part I understood the importance of education.
